Virtual Commissioning
Virtual Commissioning is process of testing and debugging of control systems in a virtual environment.We currently use Siemens Process Simulate to carry out this function for Jaguar Landrover, BMW and other automotive manufacturers. This enables us to connect real PLCs and HMIs on which the control logic is being developed, and therefore to:
1. Test standard production cycles;
2. Test what-if situations, such as equipment failure and operator actions;
3. Provide a hands-on demonstration of a functioning system to our clients, before the hardware is in place, facilitating a timely buy-off procedure.
The result is a greatly reduced time requirement for on-site commissioning, as the logic has been proven, demonstrated and bought off, even before the equipment is installed.
